Contingent Image is a web-based generative artwork conceived by John Climenhage that allows visitors to infinitely generate unique compositions from a pool of 117 source paintings by the artist. No two arrangements are ever the same, producing an effectively limitless number of possible compositions. Despite this, only 100 user-selected compositions will ever be produced as limited archival prints.
